Tozers Bush Camp, Bremer Bay

Tozers Bush Camp is a wonderful little patch of bush, surrounded by farmland, on the road to Bremer Bay. We were drawn to visit the place because of their now-famous orchid tours including the highly sought-after Queen of Sheba, Thelymitra speciosa, which we saw. But the place is so much more than a couple of admittedly spectacular orchids. We were so taken by the place that I've dedicated a whole blog post to highlight some of the wonderful flowers that we saw when were there in late August this year.

I've been thinking lately about that time I spent two weeks on Lord Howe Island. I don't know why the reminiscing is happening now, but it is. Perhaps I just really want to go back there.

iPhones are probably the ultimate in modern street photography.

Despite what many people like to think, expensive cameras do not create good photos. Expensive cameras cannot create a vision. Rather, expensive cameras may have special features or abilities which may enable a vision. Without a vision, there is nothing to enable.

The lowly greenhood is quite an incredible orchid. It grows in central northern Victoria and flowers in November-December at a time when most other orchids in the area have died off for the season.
